Absentee and Early Voting

Ramsey County residents may vote before Election Day beginning 46 days before each election. All voters can vote early by absentee ballot in Minnesota. You do not need to provide a reason for voting early. 

Voters have several options for casting their ballot before Election Day

To check on the status of a mailed ballot, visit the Secretary of State's What is the Status of My Absentee or Mail Ballot?  You can also call Ramsey County Elections at 651-266-2171 for further questions.

Beginning February 16th:

You can vote early, in person at the Ramsey County Library - Roseville and the Ramsey County Library - Shoreview during the following:

Friday, February 16th through Friday, March 1st:
Weekdays: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday, March 2nd:  9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Monday, March 4th:  10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Ramsey County Elections-Plato Building is also open for early voting during the following:

Jan. 19 - March 1 (Closed Feb. 19 for President's Day):
Weekdays: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 2:  9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Monday, March 4:  8 a.m. - 5 p.m
