The City of Arden Hills is hiring to fill three full-time positions:
Performs advanced technical work directing, planning, administering, and enforcing various city codes; conducting inspections and plan reviews; issuing building permits for commercial, industrial, and residential projects; and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Community Development Director. Divisional supervision is exercised over Building and Code Enforcement Inspector and contract inspectors. Building and Code Enforcement Inspector
Performs intermediate skilled technical work administering, supervising, and managing the issuance of all building permits for commercial, industrial, and residential projects; ensuring building code and construction-related code enforcement compliance; assisting with plan reviews and inspections; responding to resident calls; assisting with walk-in customers; writing detailed reports; and related duties as assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building Official. Apply by Friday, July 16 at 4:30 p.m.
Senior Engineering Technician
Assists in the implementation of City ordinances and programs including MS4 permitting and compliance; grading and erosion control management; and right of way management by reviewing plans and permit applications, issuing permits, performing inspections, and providing coordination with City staff, contractors, and the public. Manages the GIS database. Assists with the design and project management of the City’s Pavement Management Program and other City construction projects, and related duties as assigned.
