Kids Enjoy Fire Engine at Hazelnut Park

LJFD

The kids at Arden Hill’s Parks and Recreation playground program at Hazelnut Park were treated to a visit from the Lake Johanna Fire Department this morning. Firefighters explained the gear and tools located on the engine and reviewed fire safety tips. The children were then able to explore the interior of the engine. Since it was a sunny morning and the kids were already outfitted for water play, the firefighters sprayed the kids with water from the fire hose.

The Lake Johanna Fire Department protects the cities of Arden Hills, North Oaks, and Shoreview, with an area encompassing over 31 square miles and a combined population of about 42,000 residents. Services are provided by five full-time employees and approximately 80 part-time employees.

Thank you, Lake Johanna Fire Department, for protecting and serving our Arden Hills community!
