Community Gardens

Want to grow your own flowers, herbs, or produce but don’t have the right soil or sunlight at home? The City offers residents the chance to rent garden plots at the shared site on Old Highway 10.

How to Reserve a Plot

  • Submit a Community Garden Application. (See dates below.)

  • Fee: $60 per plot, which covers garden preparation.

  • Review the garden layout included with the application and indicate your top three plot choices.

Important Dates

  • March 3 – Applications open for returning gardeners.
  • April 1 – Last day for returning gardeners to claim their same plot.
  • April 2–30 – New gardeners may register for 1 plot on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • May 1 – Additional plots may be reserved if available.
  • Second week of May – Gardeners are notified of plot assignments.
