Per State Statute, Committee/Commission members may participate remotely via interactive technology (Zoom) but must do so from a location that is open to the public and the member’s remote location must also be publicly posted. This means that if a member is taking part in a meeting from their home or another public location (hotel meeting room, coffee shop, library, etc.), the member must provide their home address or the public location address in the public notice and allow the public to attend the meeting from their home or other public location.
Please be advised that per Minnesota Statute 13.601, Subd. 3, the following information is considered public for applicants to a public committee or commission: name, city, education, employment record, volunteer experience. Once an individual has been appointed to a public committee or commission, the above-referenced information on this application will be considered public.
