Park Facility Rentals

Looking for a great spot to host your next celebration? Arden Hills offers picnic shelters and pavilion spaces perfect for birthday parties, graduations, reunions, and other community events.

Pavilions

The pavilions at Perry Park and Cummings Park are suited for larger events. They include indoor restrooms, kitchenettes, serving counters, and space for bigger events. Capacity: 40 seated; 100 total guests

Picnic Shelters

Small picnic shelters are ideal for casual, small gatherings. These shelters do not include indoor space or restrooms. Arden Manor, Floral, Hazelnut, Ingerson, Johanna Marsh, Royal Hills, and Valentine parks have picnic shelters. Capacity: 18 seated; 20 total guests

Reservation Process

- Reservation requests and full payment must be made at least 7 calendar days in advance of the event.
- Reservations are on a first come, first served basis.
- Reservations are available May – October, weather permitting.
- Reservations are confirmed once the deposit and fee rental have been paid in full.
- A team member will contact you within 2 business days to finalize payment and booking if your requested date and time is available.

Indoor Bathrooms: Cummings Park and Perry Park
Portable toilets / Port-a-Potties: All picnic shelters have 1 portable toilet onsite.
Kitchenettes with serving counters: Cummings Park and Perry Park
Picnic Tables: Cummings & Perry: (5) 8-person tables / Shelters: (3) 6-person tables
Foldable Serving Tables: Cummings and Perry each have one 6-ft folding white table. 
Chairs: Individual chairs are not provided at any pavilion or picnic shelter.

Rental Block Options

Full Day: 10 am - 10 pm

All rentals are full day rentals from 10 am - 10 pm. Renters may access the facility no earlier than 10 am and must fully leave the premises and be completely packed up and cleaned at 10 pm.

Deposit & Taxes

Deposit
Perry & Cummings Pavilions require a $300 refundable security deposit. Deposits are not taxed.

Taxes
All rentals fees include a 8.375% tax which is already included in the fees listed.

Prior to filling out this form, you must check to ensure your chosen date and time is available. If another reservation is shown on your chosen date and time, you must choose a different facility or reservation date:

Picnic Shelter Availability

There is not a publicly available calendar for picnic shelter rentals. In the rare case you choose a date this not available, we will notify you. 

Payment Due Date

Your reservation is not confirmed until you pay.  Payment is due no less than 7 days in advance of your event. If you do not pay 7 days in advance, your reservation will be canceled without notice. 

Capacity

• Cummings and Perry have seating for 40 and a total capacity of 100 guests at one time.
• All picnic shelters have seating for 18 and a total capacity of 20 guests at one time. 

Exclusive Pavilion / Shelter use

• Rental includes exclusive access only to the covered shelter or pavilion.
• All grassy areas, playgrounds, ballfields, indoor bathrooms, and all other park amenities and spaces will remain open to the public during your reservation.

Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and THC 

 Motorized Vehicles

• Motorized vehicles (cars, trucks, ATVs, e-bikes, motorcycles, etc.) are not allowed in parks.
• Do not park or drive on grass, landscaped areas, or paved or unpaved trails.

Music & Amplified Sound

Stakes, Tents, and Inflatables

• Bounce houses, inflatables, climbing walls, slip-n-slides, etc. are prohibited.
• Ground stakes of any length are prohibited. To secure tents, use sandbags or weights.

Additional Prohibited Items

• Glass containers
• Golfing, golf balls, and golf carts 
• Unleashed pets are not permitted. Pets are not permitted indoors.

Clean-Up Checklist

• Sweep the floor, wipe counters, wipe tables and return tables to original spots.
• Bag extra trash and leave it by indoor bins; extra trash bags are provided in the kitchen

Electricity, Heat, Plumbing, and Door Locks

• Do not flush paper towels; they clog toilets.

Deposits will not be refunded if you and/or your guests:

• Damage the facility or leave the facility excessively dirty and/or unclean.
• Have more guests attend than stated capacity. (Perry/Cummings 100; all others 20.)
• Bring prohibited items to the facility and/or do not follow the rules listed here.
• Do not return the key within one business day or access building outside of rental time.

The User understands and accepts the risks associated with using the athletic fields, shelter, and/or pavilion, including the risk of bodily injury (including death) or property damage. The User assumes full responsibility for these risks and agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City and its officials, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, judgments, losses, costs, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to the use of the facilities by the User or the User’s guests or invitees—except to the extent caused solely by the negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct of the City or its representatives. The User also irrevocably waives and releases any claims against the City for injuries or damages incurred in connection with such use.

The City reserves the right to impose more restrictive conditions on shelter and/or pavilion use at its sole discretion.

Failure to comply with the above requirements may result in immediate suspension of facility use and/or a ban on future park facility rentals.
