Rules & Regulations

The following ordinances apply to parking on public streets and in residential driveways:

  • No parking on city streets between 2:00 am and 6:00 am
  • No parking on city streets after the accumulation of two or more inches of snow until plowing has been completed
  • No parking on city streets for more than six consecutive hours at any time
  • In residential areas, no more than four cars are permitted to be parked on a driveway

Note: The city will issue temporary parking permits at no charge for circumstances where more than four vehicles will be parked in a driveway, or when overnight on-street parking is necessary on a short-term basis.

Report a Violation

For on-street parking violations or violations that occur during non-business hours, please call the Ramsey County Sheriff non-emergency line at 651-767-0640.

If possible, please contact the city or the Ramsey County Sheriff while the violation is occurring so that the violation can be witnessed.

Recreational Vehicle Parking
The city has adopted regulations pertaining to the parking of recreational vehicles, utility trailers, boats, riding lawn mowers, and other similar items.
