How can I recycle?

There is no municipally administered recycling collection service for multi-unit complexes in Arden Hills unless they opt-in to the city's recycling contract. It is required that property owners of any multi-unit dwelling, like apartment complexes, provide occupants with the opportunity to recycle. Call the City of Arden Hills at 651-792-7800 if this service is not available.

Businesses are free to select from any garbage/recycling hauler licensed to provide commercial service in the city. The Minnesota Retiree Environmental Technical Assistance Program (RETAP) provides free, confidential, non-regulatory pollution prevention, waste reduction and energy use reduction assistance, and other services to Minnesota businesses, industries and institutions.

WasteWise is an affiliate of the Chamber of Commerce that provides technical support and public awareness to businesses to help them reduce waste and save money.

What to do About Other Stuff

If you're remodeling, you may be able to recycle your old ceiling tiles for free. For more information contact Armstrong Ceiling Systems. Armstrong also takes back both their own and other manufacturers flooring through its free vinyl composition tile (VCT) recycling program.

Computers, televisions and other electronic waste may be taken to an electronics recycler or you can arrange pick up service. Some of these companies will also deal certain hazardous materials such as fluorescent bulbs and rechargeable batteries.
