As of April 22, 2024, Arden Hills City-issued licenses/permits for food trucks are no longer necessary. Vendors must have a valid license from Ramsey County or the MN Department of Agriculture to operate here
At its meeting on April 22, the City Council adopted an amendment to City Code removing the previous requirement that food trucks and other mobile food units obtain an Arden Hills City-issued license. Instead, all food truck vendors operating at an Arden Hills business or private residence must obtain a license from Ramsey County or the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Please note that even if a vendor has a license with the Minnesota Department of Health, they must still obtain the Ramsey County licensure. In addition, residents no longer need to obtain a no-fee permit to host a food truck at their property. Please keep in mind that food trucks cannot park in the street nor in the right-of-way per City Code.
